I am heated. 


Remember how I told you about a client who switched backend platforms and the developers we hired have not listened to my request about metrics inside Klaviyo that control the most basic email automations?


If not, I’ve been waiting for, checks notes, a month and a week for these metrics to be built out properly. 


And they’re still not done yet. 


In fact, the developers haven’t even listened to this request until I put more pressure on them this week. 


Haven’t even listened or acknowledged my mf request!


This has devoured at least 20k in “lost revenue” for my client—and that’s being generous! 


The actual number might be much, much higher. 


And this stupid agency of developers has completely ignored my requests for 5 weeks. 


5 weeks!


This is, obviously, unacceptable. 


But luckily, it works as a cautionary tale: 

Relying on agencies for ANY aspect of your business—whether marketing or developing or custom servicing or designing or literally any other thing that might tempt you to outsource to a “trusted” agency—is a surefire way to lose a fat chunk o’ change at best… and completely undermine your business at worst. 


I don’t care how good a certain agency looks from the outside. I don’t care how much they promise to save your business or whatever it is they promise. And I don’t care how much you might need an agency or have many times you’ve read Who, Not How and want to outsource your entire life so you can simply exist… 


Agencies are NEVER a good investment. 


They end up doing a lot more harm than the good they promise. 


And they always have a tendency to overpromise and underdeliver.  


Ignore this advice at your own peril.

If you want to work with someone who cares about your business almost as much as you do, and will do everything in his power to ratchet up your revenue at least a few degrees, hit reply, and let’s chat.
